What is the maximum image size I can crop?+

There is no enforced size limit. The tool handles images up to the memory capacity of your browser and device. In practice this means you can freely crop files up to 20–40MB. Very large RAW-export images (50MB+) may be slower on lower-end devices.

How do I crop a photo to a specific size for a passport or ID?+

In the crop settings panel, select "Custom" as the aspect ratio, then type the exact pixel dimensions into the W and H fields. For example, a US passport photo is 600×600px at 300dpi. Enable "Lock Aspect Ratio" if you want to constrain proportions while resizing.

Does cropping work offline?+

Once the page has loaded in your browser, the cropping itself works entirely offline — no internet connection is required for the actual processing. The initial page load requires internet to fetch the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files.

What file formats can I output after cropping?+

You can download the cropped image as JPG (best for photos and smaller file size), PNG (lossless, supports transparency), or WEBP (modern format, small size with great quality). The quality slider lets you fine-tune compression for JPG and WEBP.
